Through a Twin Tower PSA module which is interconnected with automatic changeover valves, compressed air is passed. PSA towers have activated alumina at the bottom which absorb moisture from compressed air. Activated Alumina air gets dried, when passed through this bed. Compressed air can be passed through this layer of activated alumina continuous without any kind of interruption. After this, dried compressed air comes in contact with carbon molecular sieves (CMS) which are made using special grade of absorbent with preferential adsorption property.

PSA modules consists of  two towers which are inter-connected with automatic changeover valves and a timer installed in the control panel. During the entire process, one tower remains engaged in nitrogen production cycle and the other tower is used for regeneration through de-pressurization process of the tower to atmospheric pressure. The changeover time cycle of both towers is 1 + 1 minute.  With the help of Back pressure Regulator nitrogen pressure is maintained. After this, the nitrogen is sent to the consumer point with the help of a pressure reducing valves as per the required pressure. For high purity, this is used in downstream equipment and oxygen content can be brought down to 1-3 PPM using DEOXO Unit.
